Purchased Motofeet through Century Performance Center. Told would fit '99 DOHC engine. Invoice and box arrived for MTO-2400. Invoice states for 4.6L & 5.4L engines.
A "motofoot" bolts to the engine in place of the engine mount. My block has two holes forward and one to the rear. The forward holes are aligned vertically and 2-3" apart. The rear hole is aligned horizontally with the top front hole and about 8-9" back. On the motofeet, the two front holes are aligned correctly. The motofeet back hole is only 2-3" back. Additionally, the block has a higher point right in front of the top front hole that prevents mounting. Is there something different about a '99 Cobra block?
So I'm in my garage on Sunday night and the engine hoist I rented has to be back Monday by 8 am. Choices: (1) send back the motofeet for a refund and have to rent the hoist again; or (2) modify the motofeet. I opted for getting out my saws-all. Removing abount a 1/4" from the front lip by the top hole makes it fit. Still plenty of metal for support. I don't think not having the rear hole bolt in harmful because the only force on engine is its weight. (Reply if you think I should be concerned).
I'm not upset with Century Performance although they should know their product better. Chris told me that what I got is the only model they sell for the Ford modular engines. I described it to him, so it doesn't look like it was mispackaged. He is going to get with Motofeet and call me back. Motofeet does not list a contact number on their website and their website email is not working.
With modifications, it works fine. Balances with T-45 attached.
If you never drive it, the only force at work is gravity.
But if you want to fire it up and open the throttle, there are forces working that want to rip the motor off the frame and flip it on it's head(s), even while just revving it up in neutral, torque is working against your mounts.
You may be fine, but let's have a look at "plenty of metal for support" pix, and guys will chime in.
Just my 2 cents, Bill

I'm not sure how the stand works but if the engine rests on it and the bolts are just there to hold the whole thing together, but not support any weight, then you are fine.
Well,, I took a look at their website, I would think if you are not bolting up the trans, you should be ok. Maybe someone who has actually used the stand will chime in.
Sorry for the mistake. Motofoot? Looks like I stuck my motofoot right in my mouth. haha
The way you described it, "A "motofoot" bolts to the engine in place of the engine mount."
I "assumed" it was a new-fangled set of motor mounts, and not a engine stand/dolly.
I guess I should have read my the new Eastwood catalog, which arrived shortly after my idiotic post, before saying anything.
Sure enough, last night about half past midnight, I'm browsing thru the new catalog when low and behold, there they are, bottom of page 30. BOY, WAS MY FACE RED?
You should be fine with your slight modification, if just using the dolly as intended.
But, if you ever actually do fire it up on that little dolly, I want a copy of the video

I thought your post didn't make any sense. I couldn't imagine firing the engine up on the dolly (especially since it's on casters). I was glad to learn of your mistaken assumption given that I have looked at your other posts for advice.
pcolapacker, one thing I'm not, and that's pefect. When I saw those motofeet in the catalog, literally hours after posting my reply, I was thinking, man, what kind of idiot am I?
There are times I need to step back a minute and think before I speak/reply. If only the mail had come a few hours earlier, I could have saved all the embarassment.
Now you got me thinking though, maybe somebody could mount a scrap engine to a set of "motofeet", fire it up and video tape it for us.
Wouldn't that be a great one to send in to Bill Engvall? Especially if it severed the fuel line when it flipped over and thru flames everywhere. "Here's your sign!"
Man, my mind comes up with some wacko-crazy stuff when the coffee kicks in, doesn't it?
Thanks for undertsanding.
Carry on, Bill
