Got a set of rear caliper brackets off Ebay for 50 bucks! These are the same ones used in most conversion kits I have investigated. Can anyone provide information on discs and calipers that will work on a stock 8.8 4-lug rear axle conversion? Will a set of 84 T'bird Turbo calipers and discs work?

If I'm not mistaken I beleive there are a few different types of brackets which all use different types of calipers. You should ask whoever you got it from just to be sure. I used Northracecars brackets and they require the rear calipers and discs from 94 up (SN95) Mustangs.

I'm sure others will add their input as well.

Kobra4kris is correct. I got mine from the same place. Mine are for the Cobra 10.65" rotors and, logically, you would require a different bracket if you were using the smaller T'bird rotor.

I suggest that you visit North Race Cars web site (they are supporting vendors) or contact Richard via email: Richard@northracecars.com . He does know his stuff.

Richard oben can answer your questions and also furnish you with the brackets that you will need for the conversion. Also e-brake cables.

Tnarchtct:
Take a look at attached site and it may give you an idea of what you will need to convert from drum to disks for the rear.

Hope that this helps.
