Phil Spector and a Cobra connection ??

I have been seeing some talk about a HBO Phil Spector movie, and I remember something about him and a connection to one of the Cobra Daytonas.

Am I just nuts or does anyone else have the same recollection ??

Oh there was a connection alright. He owned one of the original Daytona coupes.

If I'm not mistaken I believe this is coupe that is part of the Simeon collection in Philidelphia.

Phil Spector owned the original Daytona Coupe, the first, the most valuable and the only one built with a sloped roof line and finished in the USA. I'm pretty sure. Right?
