VERY cool -- congratulations! I will look forward to seeing your build.

What ever became of the Ferris Bueller build? I think that was yours, several months ago. There may be one of those in my future someday.

Cheers, John

Is that an STI Subi, or is it just an STI intercooler? I thought I read that the STI version would not work with the 818?

Congrats...I've been lurking on the 818 forum for a couple months. Really looking forward to following your build. Any ETA on when you'll see a kit in your driveway?

Its a standard WRX I paid 3 grand for it with 135,000 miles. I was told it had frame rot and was not safe to drive. I put it on my lift and checked it out. Its really not bad. Its actually the bottom of the rocker on one side. The frame is more inboard and is fine. I plan to drive it until I get my kit. I think they are talking at least March of next year. Could be even longer.

That looks to be a resonable price for what you got. There are a bunch of guys that think a 200,000 mile WRX is worth 9-10 Thousand. I continue to look for a donor. Hopefully one close by.

In my divorce a couple years ago, my ex got the STI and I got the WV Jetta. Guess which project I'm now doing?

I'm in also.

Debated whether to go for R or S and chose an S for now but thinking that might well change to an R once all of the final details are revealed and I can look at the possibility of slightly raising the windscreen.

Gonna' have to do me some Subie learnin'

Jeff

I see quite a few people have pre-ordered the 'S' It's a sharp looking car. Can't wait to see what people come up with regarding mods/paint job/etc.

I'm not a builder but I would "slightly" consider trading my mkII for a completed 'S' version of the 818.
