I'm going to screw it up here, but what is the quote from one of the auto mags (maybe Car and Driver), that is in essence, "...cornering speed was limited at the point of dimishing driver capability..."
I know that's not much to go on, but I love the real quote.

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."
It is in my signature, Mark. I loved it the day I read it when C&D originally published it. If the rest of my adled memory is intact, I think it was in reference to one of their editors driving a 911.

Not sure who to credit here but one of my favorites is "understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car, oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car". I guess that is wat the NASCAR guys are talking about when the say " car looks tight, or car looks loose"
CB
Cone, it's kind of funny the words used by various branches of the overall sport. Lets see,
Understeer=push=plow=tight
Oversteer=loose=hung out
Those are all I can think of. Can anyone add some more?

I heard it, "understeer is when you see the wreck, oversteer is when you don't."

Barry Winfield wrote that in 2003 about why Honda made some of the suspension changes they did to the 2nd generation S2000.
I swore it was way older than that. I guess I was right about my adled mind being adled. No matter, it is still a remarkable piece of wordsmanship.

Looks good, runs good, feels great!
The version I like best... not sure who to credit, I used Google to find it.
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
