My halogen pot light is back up and running after a quick socket transplant thanks to NGE who sent some spares along in the mail all the way from CA.

i am the kind of guy that will do just about anything for anybody, but the helpfulness of this forum multiplies it by a zillion. local people and people here on the forum, i know of no greater group of guys anywhere.

glad the socket worked out for you, and you have an extra spare!

the only trouble i had was that the automated post machine that i went to at night would not ship to the Great White North, and i had to go back in person and fill out a customs form. now i know!

i am still trying to "pay it forward" from major things i got from forum members:

• "offer" on loads of free parts from Ben Smith
• PERFECT video on how to replace the diaphragm on my lawn mower, i was almost about to buy a brand new $400 lawn mower! the fix was $8
• Recco from No Tread Tommy G for an engine builder that works in his backyard... that saved me thousands. $$$

i can go on but i gotta work.
