I believe that Dave Smith rolled a MK-II (?) at a Run-n-Gun event several years ago. They taped the body back together and to the frame then sent Dave back out. He finished the event and think that he either won or came really close to winning. They don't call it "200-mph tape" for nothin'!

I'm told that sure sign of poor workmanship is wrinkles in the duct tape...

RunN'Gun 1998 with DS at the wheel. Rolled, taped back together and went on to win "King of the hill". The following week still wearing the duct tape repairs MS went on to win the North East Replica Challenge with it.

I think it was one of the carbon fiber body cars. Fortuitous that it had been painted silver, eh?
