I am at work but watching it online...

Follow Red Bull Stratos Mission LIVE on Sunday : Discovery News

Just curious what happens to the capsule afterwards? Do they have a way to track it and land it?

Amazing that they can get such a picture of the balloon at that height from the ground...and as clear as it is....

Watching it on Discovery Live and on the net. Finally, there is a demonstration that there are pioneers out there and not a complete conversion to hipsters.

Watching now. The thing that amazes me is how many energy drinks this company must sell in order to do something like this.

When they finished the show there was still no word on the speed record. Perhaps they have to down load data from the suit. Just guessing.....

From the numbers they gave it didn't sound like he got longest freefall. Actually think it would be nice if Joe kept one.

There are other sponsors:

I'm guessing that there may be government research grants.

We will have to wait but I think he missed the freefall record by about 10-15 seconds. He did (unofficially) appear to break the altitude record for highest ballon flight, speed record (about 730 mph), and altitude record for highest jump. By my rough calculations he also broke the speed of sound (taking into account the variation of speed with altitude). Truly an amazing feat.

What a wimp, he only did his test jump from 97,000 feet. That is amazing, would have loved the view from the capsule.
