RIP Norm Grabowski - the Hot Rod Legend

Man will he be missed. Who could have been a hot rod fan and not know his t-bucket, his face, and his accomplishments. You may have known about his acting career because he did that too.

So what exactly is it that I don't have a clue about?

Not you. I was just surprised that only two of us seem to know that a pretty good guy passed away. I could probably get a few pages out of a post about a big breasted blonde celeb who breaks a nail. Just saying it's sad.

Hahaha, if I thought you didn't have a clue I would have PM'd that bit of info. Please do the same for me.

I agree that it's sad that this didn't get more recognition. I guess maybe the typical FFR owners are too young to remember guys like Norm?

Norm, Big Daddy Ed Roth, Von Dutch......The original hot rod world is getting a little smaller every day.

Hope to meet them all on the other side.

Norm was quite a character. He parked near me at the 1980 Street Rod Nationals in Memphis. His "Street Rod" at the time was a truck he called a "Henway" which was bait for his humor. Someone would always ask him "What's a Henway", his answer, "Oh about 4 pounds."
RIP Norm, you were one of a kind. -- Chuck

Norm liked FFR's cars. He'd never fit in my coupe but he was looking forward to a ride in my roadster. He was here the day my MK4 was delivered.
