I lost my 1976 Yellow Firebird in a parking lot once. They had the new at the time yellow/orange parking lot lights and combined with the snow the car look white at night. I finally spotted it by its extensive rust of the doors and rear quarter panels.
A friend of mine took his 2 DeLorean's to a national show last year... when they came out to the hotel parking lot the next morning, the only way they could find the cars was to look for the license plates

That's crazy. I looked for my truck so long one time that I finally decided that it was stolen. It was at the spring car show at the Daytona Speedway and I was parked outside turn 2. As I was nearing the end of the stages of grief, a truck moved and I saw it.
I came out of the DFW airport terminal at 1am once. I knew exactly where I parked my car. I remember it being near a certain post on a specific floor but it was gone. I looked for over an hour and just before I called the police to report my car stolen, I saw it...in the garage right next to the one I was in. There a several similar garage at each terminal at DFW and went to the wrong one.
EX-Wife lost the car in the driveway once. She looked and could not see it. Called me at work and when I came home it was sitting where it always sat. Bad angle from the window she looked out of. But very obvious from two others.

I was waiting for something more entertaining as I was reading. Like it wasn't there because you had it repossesed!
LOL I lost it at Hartsfield (worlds biggest airport) blue Toyota P/U I looked until I really was sure it was stolen then on the way to report it I found it.

Heck, this woman lost her fries (chips) for the same reason--bad angle:
A friend of mine was late for a business meeting in some major metro area. He had a delayed flight and jumped into his rental car and raced to the address. He parked in a 10 story parking garage and ran into his meeting to make his presentation. After the meeting he realized that not only did he not know which floor of the garage that he parked on, he didn't know the model or color of the rental car. All he had was a set of generic GM keys with a license plate number on the worn out tag. This was back in the 80s. He was finally able to call the rental company and get the model and color of the car, then all he had to do was hike through the 10 stories of parking garage to find it.

Last winter I parked at Toronto Pearson airport raised parking. About 7 floors served by elevators in various places. Levels are color coded and numbered and lettered.
I returned after my trip after midnight and went to where I thought I had left my car...My dream car that I had searched all over the US to get. It was cold and dark and I wanted to get home. Car isn't there. I look for an hour...up down, this way that way, other trips starting to cloud my memory....pressing the horn button on the remote....listening....getting madder and madder because I KNEW I had left it RIGHT THERE!. I would press the button and hear a honk...then realize it was someone else making noises. I was 45 minutes from home, cold and getting more and more angry because not only was my car stolen....it was special because I had searched all over for it and gone to North Carolina to get the damn thing. Called home, woke the wife...told her my sad story.
I called the security phone....said I needed assistance...they said they would send someone....20 mins.....more angry....called again.....sending someone. 20 minutes and the security guy in an SUV pulls up. I tell him my car has been stolen. He gives me a wry smile and says "hop in....we'll just be sure". Driving....driving....oh this area looks different.....I'm sure its gone.....hey....wait a minute.....oh my! And there it is.
One bay of elevators goes only as high as the 4th.....the other goes to 6 or 7.....and thats where it was! Boy was my face red......but so relieved.

last year my wife called me in a panic from the airport parking lot claiming the car was stolen. She looked up and down the garage for 15-20 minutes. I said, click the door lock and the horn will beep. She gets all frazzled, I did that!! I said, well it is hard to miss a black Lexus SUV (taller than most cars). She goes, damn, Im looking for the Hummer. She bought the new truck a few weeks ago. Duh...

Hi,
This has sort of happen to me a few times too.
!996 Black Chevy Tahoe, 1994 dark green Chrysler minivan & 2002 black F-250 pickup. I seem to drive the same car or truck others drive. like someone said they needed to confirm by license plate....
I'm waiting for someone to post saying they couldn't find their cobra at a major cobra meet because there were too many blue with white stripes cobras.
My Daughter taught me a clever way to remember where I park in the airport...shoot a picture with your cell phone. She suggested this to me after I spent quite some time searching the ramp for my car only to figure out the Car Dealer dropped me off and was servicing my car. You can understand now why I chose my signature!

I do remember opening my trunk and finding that someone had installed a 400 watt amplifier and CD changer in it when I wasn't looking . . . until I realized I had opened my friends Blue w/ White stripe Cobra trunk, parked right next to my Blue w/ White stripe Cobra. I wouldn't miss the Huntington Beach Cruise-In for anything . . . Just toooo much fun. LOL!
