Jim,

I agree I think NBC will be a downgrade compared to Speed in terms of broadcast quality and quantity. When they air several of the races each year on Fox it's much less enjoyable. As you said, oh well. More time to be out in the garage actually doing something...

If NBC airs the feed they bought then why would it be any different than it is now? Yeah if they try and edit it they could screw it up, but that feed is generated by someone else and either SPEED or NBC or whomever just buys the rights to broadcast it, so why would it turn to crap if a different station is broadcasting it?

If qualifying goes, half the race goes. Ugh. Here's to hoping that NBC didn't outbid Speed for F1 coverage rights to show tape delayed, edited Grands Prix from a select few races during the season.

Don't squander this opportunity NBC Sports.
