I like it.
Rich Rawlings is a hoot.
Although he seems to get screwed on some of those auctions.
Him and his team seem to be enjoying what they do and he doesn't YELL and SCREAM at everybody like Sr. & Boyd used to do all the time. Less DRAMA, I like this show.

Never liked Boyd Coddington/American Hot Rod show.

I feel it is more real than a lot of the other shows. I saw the two main guys from the show at the Auburn Auto Auction in Indiana over Labor day weekend. They were just riding around in a golf cart checking out the cars. They seemed to be trying to stay low key and just enjoy everything that was there to see. I noticed them first in the corral where the lower end cars are that are for sale.
Jim.
I enjoy it too, but I think they're starting to do some of the goofy stuff that ruins a show like this. Last week, they bought a crappy car and wanted to enter a demolition derby. Thought it was a pretty lame distraction from the building of cars. Then they couldn't get the car to run before the event, so he borrowed another car.
I wish I could have found that documented big block 67 Vette and bought it for under 30 grand. He does find some cool cars.
I live about 15 minutes from their shop. For yall Dallas locals, it is by Royal ln and Harry Hines.... The film crew does a good job of creating production 'ambiance' and value with the available neighborhood and exterior entrance of the place...
There is another thread on another board and someone involved in the show pretty much said the time lines are all bogus and a lot of the cars are not really sold.
I agree with not being sold he would be out of business on those auctions.
I noticed Richard Rawlings standing in the lobby of the Omni Hotel during the recent Mecum Auto Auction (the Omni is attached to the Dallas Convention Center) where the auction was taking place. My wife and I walked up to him and told him we enjoy his show. He had his wife/girlfriend...not sure which, take our picture with him using our camera. He was very gracious and approachable.
Rawlins makes the show for sure, but all are definately car guys. I just started watching so I'm catching some of the older shows on the marathons they run.
I didn't hear it said but the name of the show is "Fast and loud" in case you're looking.
I love all these shows !
as long that they are Car related I'd watch
Fast N Loud
Car Warriors
Texas Car Wars
Overhaulin
Wheeler Dealers
Whats my Cars worth
PowerBlock TV - ( Trucks, Musclecar, Horsepower tv, Extreme 4x4 )
Top Gear
Fifth Gear
Chasing Classic Cars
Pass Time
Pinks
Gearz
My Classic Car
The Car Show
etc etc
even listen to podcasts that are car related at work
I saw them get interviewed with Jay Leno. They told a story about doing gumball rally across country with a Ferrari. Finished the race and did another one right after. Said they were doing 200 mph

Didn't they set the gumball rally record?
31 hours or something. They had the Ferrari they drove on one of the shows.
