Icon21 New Project - 39 Studebaker Coupe Express Kit

My dad found this on craigslist today, he's been wanting a 39 Studebaker Coupe Express for a long time, and already has 3 other Studebakers. Haven't been able to find a real one, so he had to have it. Going to pick it up sunday. Looks like I'm gonna have something to keep me busy this winter.

Here is the company that makes the kits. I've never seen one. Not really much of an idea yet what we are getting into. But they do still sell the kits and $3500 is a pretty big discount from 10,900. Wish me luck.

Wow, that's a great discount, especially if most of the parts are there. I've seen the Kreative Rodwerks ads in the back of kit magazines for years -- I always liked the looks, and you know the S10 underneath is going to be reliable. Nice combo! Hope you guys have some fun with it. Please post progress pics.

Cheers, John

My dad just stopped by to pay her a deposit. It was her uncles - who had a stroke and now can't work on it. The had to unload it from the shipping crate to move it from his house. Turns out she just sold a brand new LS crate motor and trans for $2000 - couldn't get any hits on craigslist, and she also sold the S10 frame he had for $400. So we could have had all of it for $6000 if we'd seen it in time... Timing is everything with craisglist, never know what is out there.
