The question was "what is six times nine?".
Oddly enough 6 x 9 does equal 42 if you look at it from a certain perspective.
Just change from base 10 to base 13 as show below using bc.
Have to wonder if Douglas Adams realized this.

Thanatopsis,, aaaaaaa...wrong answer. You stated the solution in metric. The correct answer can only be provided in sans serif.

Normally that would be the case. However the density of the equation was calculated in zolotniks per hogshead as outlined in ISO BR549. The very same method that brought us the Turbo Encabulator.
