Advice from someone who interviews technical people once in a while:
Read up on the applications you don't know and understand the basics of what they are used for and what they do. Read up on the company and the position. Knowing things about their company will show them that you took the time to research and understand what they are all about. You'd be surprised at how many people don't know this. When they ask you if you know what they do you will be able to respond with an intelligent answer, not just: "um, I think you make widgets".
When asked about the applications in question, stress at the interview that you are all about expanding your skillset and would love the opportunity to dive into these new areas of expertise. Make sure they understand you know how to research and learn. If they are confident you can find the answer it isn't as important as knowing the answer right then and there.
Personality is going to play a large part of whether you get hired. You can get past the lack of qualifications with those applications you don't know if the interviewer thinks you are a good fit for their company. You can't change a personality but you can train someone who is eager to learn and has the aptitude. The importance of proficiency in those applications will be a big part as well. If they need someone to dive in right this instant then it may weigh heavy. If they just want you to know them because it is an occasional requirement or similar then you are golden.
Show a sense of humor but don't make any jokes. Laugh when appropriate, smile, and ask a lot of questions about the company and the position. Have two or three intelligent questions about the position that reveal your intellect and curiosity. Showing interest will catch their attention. Let them see that you have a good personality and will be an asset to their company.

Found an online tutorial about SQL. This is a very cool programming language I think I could master in a short time.

SQL is straightforward, easy to pick up and can be very powerful! As for the spy wire, you'd have these guys arguing over four different ways to do the same thing!
I had a phone interview with the HR Director. She seemed very impressed with my qualifications. She said they are looking for someone who is expert level with Excel. I told her I was and detailed the various models I had built at my previous job.
She is going to pass her notes to the person who would be my direct boss and have him schedule a phone interview this week. After that, if they are still interested I would come in for an interview and more detailed discussion. Salary is equivalent with what I received at my previous job.
Thanks for all the good thoughts. I'm positive they played a part in the success of this interview.
You guys are GREAT!!

Did you get that e-book? It bounced the first time and I had to munge the file extension.
