Latest project for me and the Ms. Figured it would be more fun to build instead of buying and we couldn't resist finishing them without some design on top. Colors are Rustoleum Royal Blue and White with one coat of clear.
Sheesh - I had no idea good striping tape was that expensive!

Oaky, I know what you're calling them, but what are they?
Frank
Really? Don't get out much huh...
It's a bean bag game(or corn bag as would be the case). You place the boards about 30' apart hole to hole. 2 man teams. 3 points in the hole and 1 point on the board.
We play point-cancel...
Fun for all ages and genders...

Sound like fun. I'll see if I can interest my girlfriend in a game of cornhole.

Oh, the game of cornhole. For a minute there I thought I was on the wrong forum.

You got me Andrew. I thought these were ramps and the holes were for the tires so you didn't drive off the end. I've clearly lived in California far too long. Did you ever play Jarts? I think they finally outlawed that game because too many people got beaned.

I have no idea what Jarts are, and I have lived here all my life.
SHARTS on the other hand, I have some experience with.
Crash - Thanks for the laugh. The Urban dictionary is a beautiful thing...

Yep! We played Jarts at family picnics all through the 70's and early 80's back when I was just a youngster.

My parents still have a vintage set of lawn darts up in the attic. They're good fun!
I haven't seen much of the bean bag game here in Texas, but it is all the rage up in Colorado right now -- while vacationing this summer, I saw several setups and people playing.
Cheers, John

Cornhole has just recently gotten to Jersey, and I guess not to the West Coast yet :-) I havent played, but looks like it could be fun.
As for Jarts, or darts? We had lawn darts as well as something called jarts which were just weighted and didn't stick into the ground. A little safer then the darts until we did dumb things like Don and tried to see how far in the air we could get them. Not sure we ever tried over the house though lol.

we are not allowed to have cornhole sets in california as they are known to cause cancer and could poke an eye out if the bean bag hits you in the eye at the perfect angle and speed.
