When the wife had the first child, all my guns went. 100+. (Except the NIB Colt Python, kept that for my sanity). Nothing since.
Well yesterday after the last one went to college, I got a break on a Taurus Judge Public Defender in Poly and blue steel cylinder. Nice weight. Perfect shelf gun. Not impressed with the poly frame except for the lightness. Bluing is so-so. Hammer machining is done at arms length eyesight. But if it'll get out 5 rounds in home defense, it'll serve its purpose.
Now I'm off to order 450 million rounds of 45 Long Colt bonded hollow points.

old version here also but like it. Actually its the wife's gun. She shoots better than most guys with her moving and moving targets. Surprised when she wanted this for home protection. but it works

It seems that I run out of driving talent before the cobra runs out of HP!
We have the Public Defender model in brushed stainless. Great glovebox gun. I keep all .410 in the cylinder, but with the defensive loads that are a combination of pellets and larger/heavier discs.
Cheers, John

Forget 45. Look at the various .410 self defense loads that have come out from several ammo manufacturers in the last couple of years. From all I have read they are much better for self defense.
