I wonder how fast he got to in there. The road surface is horrible to say the least, though it looked pretty smooth in the video.

Like a symphony! I've been following F1 since the 60s and have attended at Watkin's Glen and Indy. One of my best memories is sitting at pit out at Indy and listening to those cars launch. Unbelievable. Although the sound of the Matra V12 engines will probably be my all time favorite.

I saw the clip on the morning news today, and they stated 190mph. I was skeptical for the same reasons.

Cheers, John

Bring back those "Sounds of.....

...Sebring" or Riverside, or LeMans or Drag Racing.

I buffed my love of racing on those record albums. (and can still do a pretty good Brown Brothers A/GS Hemi engine failure - or Formula One 5 speeds down to the final turn - then back up at Watkins Glen.

Ah, good times!

Well the Lincoln tunnel is 1.5 miles long, so at under 30 seconds is about 180-190 mph....

I think I would rather be in an F1 going 190 in the tunnel than my Roadster at 125. Either one would be a blast.

Cool

We had fun going through the shortest of tunnels in Cincinnati in the Coupe on the way to and from the London Cobra Show. It was at 60mph, not 190 though.

Also, I think this is a repost but speaking of engine sounds:

Been there, done that. Also did a very early (just after sunrise) Sunday morning drive from mid town to the village in my first Contemporary Cobra. Speed, triple digits at times ALA Gumball Rally , almost some 11 years and 22 Cobras ago

Been there..done that! Too many times to count. In both the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels. It's cool. You gotta get in the tunnel around 5:30am to 6:00am to really feel the thrill.
