Couldn't agree more. One of the most beautiful parts of the state, and the country for that matter. Sleeping Bear Dunes, just a few miles away, was recently recognized as one of the best. Just hope you're in for real winters, and that you like snow. Huge climate difference from Houston! (Today's understatement.) The locals learn to embrace the winter and enjoy winter sports.
I can't say how many FFR owners there are up there, but a number of us down here in the SE corner. You will find the Michigan laws are pretty friendly toward specialty cars like ours. You shouldn't have any big issues getting it titled and on the road.
