Wife's Gem of Wisdom

As our thirtieth anniversary approaches this November, She laid this one on me today:
"Marriage is when you spend the rest of your life with someone you want to kill,
But don't because you would miss them too much.

Ain't that sweet?

Sweet, but don't leave a loaded gun around. She might change her mind.

Her .380, My .357, Our 12ga always loaded and at hand, and I more often than not, ask her the combination for the "big safe".

Sure go for it, I don't know where she got it (I doubt she made it up on her own). I'll ask when she wakes up. I don't facebook, so I'll never see it.

I may have to use that on my wife. We celebrate 30 years on the 28th of this month and I am having a hard time figuring out where the time went.

Congratulations!

Congrats.
I tell her that it hardly seems fair that one woman should be so lucky for so long. Sometimes I forget to duck.

reminds me of the line in Old School when the cafe owner says "Love, it's a mother fu*ker"!

I like

A few years ago, I told her I was thinking of "trading" her in,
on a couple of twenty year olds:

She told me I was not "wired" for 220v

OUCH

My bride and I recently celebrated the 47th anniversary of our first date. That's back in the Johnson administration for you history buffs. Will be married 43 years in November.

My wife told a bunch of her friends the other day that in all those years we'd never considered divorce. Murder yes, but not divorce.
