Austin Healey - yikes

Austin Healey : BN4L 100-6 2 door | eBay

I especially like part:

Real eye catcher.(true) Never find another like this one.(true) Very quick, very loud. Rarest of the Rare.(thank God) The kind of car most people only dream about. (technically a nightmare is a dream)Has turned many heads on the street as well as at shows. (How many stomachs has it upset?)

I'm pretty sure the faux leopard and the trunk gargolyle were not standard.

I like the idea of a corvette motor in one of these.......if the reserve is low enough, a new intake, hood and carpet doesn't seem too expensive.

Are we sure this is not a forum member's car? Last time I shared an extremely mild commented on a post like this, unbeknownst to me, the car in question turned out to be a members car and my comment was deleted. I guess it's ok to share our opinions on other car guys' cars as long as they are not forum members. Interesting non-existing policy. SMH.

Agreed. Don't care much for the carpet and the blower on a car like this, but not bad otherwise.

Yikes!!

I wonder if he won all of the awards before he plunked the blower on there!!??

I like Corvette engines, I like Blowers/Super chargers, I like Austin Healeys, and ! like red, but not all at once!

What's with the shifter handle?? And what's with the red thingies and round mirrors on the scoop?

What a shame, could have been a really cool little Corvette powered Healey.

He's thinking its worth 35k - no sorry. If it were cheap, it could be brought back pretty easily. I wonder if an unmodified hood could be closed over the corvette engine without the blower.

The dash needs to be reworked also

I didn't think anyone was allowed to make that upholstery after 1975. Why didn't they use a Sebring kit for that?

I like it, I really do. Sure the leopard skin is a bit campy, but somehow it fits right in with the rest of the vehicle that already screams absurdity from every angle.

Buy the car, sell the engine and tranny, replace with something that fits under the hood, replace the carpet, pull out all of the aftermarket gauges, replace the wheels with wires, and you're almost there and probably made enough on the engine/blower/tranny to lower the net outlay for the car.
