Thinking early 60's Fiat. Flavia maybe?

Can't think of a Russian car that used ( or would need ) twin exhausts

I believe that is a LADA, the Russian equivalent to a FIAT.

I don't know... It's hard to find a rear view of a LADA. Here's on spotted in Cuba. It's not the same trunk lid or lights but maybe the styles changed.

And one from Ethiopia:

Well Greg, they do sorta look similar albeit a bit smaller but that one with all that custom rust is sweet! I still say it's some sort of Lada.

I used to live in Panama, Central American right next door to the Lada Factory in 1983-84.

A law school buddy of mine approached me about importing old Ladas and dropping American engines into them for resale. I told him it was flat crazy and that I could find much more fun ways to lose money!

Cheers, John

most of the Lada's we saw 'moving' in Russia & Yugoslavia back in the 70's
were being pushed by their owners (& that was after they gassed up)

Did Lada make a two door like the blue car in question?

The car does resemble a Fiat, but not any Lada that I can recall.

Now a Yugo DOES resemble a Lada...

Found it! It's a late 60's Maserati Mexico. Dead giveaway is that fuel filler door behind the rear window. Tail lights, deck lid, dual exhaust, bumper all match. Pretty sharp car!

Damnit. I found it last night but was too tired to post it.

This is a great site to find cars on. One of those sites you can spend all day on.

Maserati Mexico

The other I thought it might be was the Opel Rekord, but it wasn't.
