Wow, beautiful 65 Riviera Gran Sport on Ebay

Now this is how these cars are supposed to look. Tell me this isn't one of the most beautiful cars GM ever made. I know, I'm biased. Oh well, enjoy.

Beautiful car!

I always thought that the 65 and new 425's were painted red though? Or was it just wildcats?

No, the 66 Riv's Nailheads were painted Red. 66 was also the last year for the Nailhead. All 64 and 65 Riviera's had the Buick Green Nailheads. The 63 (first year of the Riviera) had their Nailheads painted silver.

Being a Ford guy there are few GM products that make me say wow.
But this is one of them!
I always check out your updates, and think yours will be just as nice from what I've seen here.

That's called the "Guide-Matic" option. Not many cars were equipped with this option. It's vacuum tube operated light sensor. When you are driving down a dark road with your bright lights on, it senses light from oncoming cars, and dims your headlights until the car passes. Pretty cool technology for 1965. My GS has this option as well. My 401 car does not.

Awesome!

That car scares the crap out of me. If i saw that car roll up next to me on the street, i'd expect Darth Vader to get out of it with his hands full!
