There's a dealer on Route 3 not far from my house. Every time I'm down that way I plan my return trip to be on the west side so I can gawk at all the beauty in the parking lot. An amazing inventory!

I used to work just down the road from the Tysons Corner mall. Good to hear that it's still an upscale place.
I saw the first McLaren MP4-12C-xyz-123-abc (worst named car ever) that I've spotted "in the wild" at my country club a couple of weeks ago. That one is owned by a local doctor who was too good for the parking lot or the valet and chose instead to block the fire lane. (It's probably leased, actually, from what I know about most of the docs around here.)
Cheers, John

Love the Saleen S7, IMHO. Much more attractive car than the Mclaren.
X2 for me. Maybe its those lines shared with the GTM...
Thanks,
Will

Norther VA? Tysons Corner??? That's where my family lives. I was just over there two weeks ago! I'm always wondering what it would be like to drive a Cobra from N/NJ to VA. Gotta do that sometime.
One of the guys in my car club has the Saleen S7 in silver. About the size of a Hummer, minus the height. You can rent them in Florida also.
There was a S7 at a car show I went to last month. You think the passenger footbox in a FFR is small, you should take a look at the the S7 . It's appropriately call a "foot"box, because you can only get one foot into it.
Sorry, My file names somehow got reversed when I uploaded to photobucket . . . you are correct, the picture I posted is a Saleen.
I've had better days . . .

Cool, my folks live in Tyson's Corner, right across from the mall. I was just there last week visiting them.
IMO, the S7 is pretty cool, but looking dated. All those gills on it tend to give it a bit of a kit carish look if you ask me. I certainly prefer the cleaner lines look of the McLaren. in 10-20 years the S7 will look like the Countach does now. Highly outdated, and cheesy.
Speaking of the GTM. IMO it is looking like major cheese now. Definitely not a timeless design.

This is some of the reason that mine is cut into about 40 pieces at the moment(hoofa's got nothing on me! ), but I will tell you that I have seen some very modern changes done to many peoples GTMs and they look great, for the most part. It seems I have seen GTMs that have some really nice touches to them, then the project definitely moves towards the "kit car" end of the spectrum with the wrong choice of color, or colors, of paint. On the flip side, I have seen standard builds take on super star qualities with attention to detail and good paint choices. Paint is SO important...at least in my eyes.
I am going to have to disagree with you in that I feel that, when done right, a mid engined swoopy car that is only 43 inches high is "timeless". The GTM is very close in many ways to the Ford GT40 and look at how "timeless" that is.
I'm just saying that alot has to do with who is finishing it, and what the choices were/are as to what the long term impressions are going to be...IMHO.
