Talking wow a bit of rain

hit and miss maybe about an 1/8 of an inch but lots of lightning and thunder.

say good bye 100* plus..............for now.

feels like air-conditioning outside this morning

strange though took over a week to get my pool to 90* as hot as it was, but it sucked the water level right out, twice i brought it up to level in 2 weeks

We got about 1/2" in 30 minutes with quite a show of thunder and lightening around 6:30 last night. This morning it is crisp and smells clean. Unfortunately, the humidity is now heading back up, but it was nice while it lasted.

Just the other day we were all watching this one thunderstorm coming at us. I called in to work to have them take down all the umbrellas and batten down the windows. 70mph winds, hail, tons of rain. Went just a few miles west of my house and hit one of the nearby towns pretty hard with a micro burst....
Glad it wasn't over my house.....

Cleanup continues after microburst causes major damage in Lakes Region | Weather - WMUR Home

Glad you guys are getting some relief though. you need it. Hasn;t been that hot up here, but the humidity was unreal yesterday. I was sweating like a pig waxing and cleaning the Roadster getting ready for the Summer Run.

We got a really nice thunderstorm last night. Over an inch of rain. Today's still pretty humid but about 8 or 10 degrees cooler. The storms were scattered though so we were pretty lucky. The other side of town got very little if any.

Be carefull what you wish for.... Here in northern colorado, after the fires, the last 3 days have had thunderstorms. Now, some of the same canyons that were closed to the fires are closed due to mudslides and rock falls. Even the interstate was closed yesterday because of 6 inches of standing water .

Someone must have called mother nature a dirty old *itch, and now she is getting her revenge.

We missed the rain, just a few sprinkles last night. But 86 today vs. 104 yesterday. The Roadster hadn't been out of the garage for 2 weeks but it finally came out today. We took a ride up to Galena with some friends who have a Superformance. I don't know if any of you guys are familiar with Scenic Ridge Road that runs from Savanna up to hwy 20 west of Galena but it was a beautiful day and an awesome road. I know no pictures, didn't happen.

My son is taking courses this summer at his college in St. Louis. He and his cross country buddies have been running 8-10 miles a day in the heat you guys have been having. We get that hot out here in CA but we don't have the humidity.

We've had two sprinkles in a month. Neither of which were enough to wash the dust off my truck.

The good news is that I haven't had to mow grass for month...

The rain was nice here (I live less than 2 miles from Leo) and we had a pretty good wind storm as well. Lots of leaves and branches all over the yard.
It also knocked out our power from about 11pm to 1:30am. That's pretty rare for our area. I think the last time we lost power was about 10 years ago.
Only a minor inconvenience. I'm thankful. Temp is 81* right now, so that's a welcome change as well.

did a ski trip up there and stayed at the old hotel
took lots of photos of the architecture very neat old town.
and i know the road it was snowing and my expidetion dropped a tire of the road i didn't touch a thing but for about 1 minute of spinning and adjusting the vehicle with out too much braking we finally stopped the otherside of the road facing the wrong way, lots of Hail Mary's to pertect my child in the back seat. and no cars in the way thank God

ahh snow i love it but i hate it on the road.

back to the storm: added water in the pool Saturday, now i am 3" over. sure glad i got the high ground some people really got hit with wet basements, the ground shrinks so much it just lets it in like a big crack.

Damn now the grass is growing
