Man, I hate seeing the driver / roll bar position in that TR. There was a driver killed at Ponca City years and years ago (last name Trumbower, I apologize for not remembering his first name) who made it through the hay bales and water barrels and went in under a tree. Trapped him between the roll bar and a low tree branch.
I couldn't race an open Production car without some kind of a front hoop or bar to protect me from something from the front.

You sure it's a "he?" My first thought it was a female.

Or it could be a 90 year old from a retirement community. Usually they drive Caddys or Lincolns and can't see over the wheel, but there might be one out there spunky enough to get behind the wheel of one of these....

No, or he'd have had "unintended acceleration" and never let the TR by.

That's Jim Duncan running a 289 powered Hi Tech ( I believe ) replica in a Midwestern Council Of Sports Car Clubs event.
If he is being passed, it's not HP that's passing him there at that pot in the track.. It's under heavy braking. I can't tell you how many races I have run on that track over the years. Easily 3 events a year for roughly 20 years.
I don't know the TR4, but I can tell you that Blackhawk Farms favors lighter cars with REALLY big and good brakes..

The more important questions are:
1. How tall is Jim Duncan?
2. If he is of average adult male human height, does his ass have road rash or are his knees burnt from sitting on the headers?
