GSXR 1000 will do a solid 186 without modifications
All Hayabusa will do 186 some that are before the agreement to limit top speed will go faster.
GSXR600 maybe
If he had an Honda RC-51 like a local kid in Winona a few years back he could have been clocked doing 205mph.

I don't understand the whole thing. The kid is right. I mean if everyone is so upset about the bike going so fast why don't we simply make all vehicles sold to only be able go to 35mph? Exactly why is a 190MPH capable vehicle being sold if no one thinks it is a good idea to go 190mph?
I think we should only sell Vespas from now on.

Pretty sure you are joking, and I am in no way inclined to have a speed limiter put on any of my vehicles, but hypothetically speaking, why would anyone really have the need to travel over 100 MPH in a public road type of setting? It's a slippery slope, so I would not support it, but hypothetically, what would be so bad about limiting cars/motorcycles to 100 MPH for public road usage?
The 0-190 mph isn't usually the problem. but the 190-0 can kill you pretty quick.
Here's a 47-0 mph a guy I know did a few days ago. GPS readout of a warm-up before a bike race and had a tire go soft on a nasty downhill sweeper. Loads of road rash and a separated collar bone. Fortunately he was well protected with his bicycle gear-- a helmet and 0.05mm of lycra I've seen the pics and they're not pretty.
If it's anything like my Garmin GPS watch that is in minutes, not seconds, and I make the 500 feet descent across only about 3 minutes.
Bummer about the collarbone and road rash.
Most important question - How's his bike?

Wrong question.
Right question: Why not require all vehicles to be able to go 190mph?
So why the 500+ foot drop in elevation? That should pretty much kill anyone, I would think.
Sorry for the thread drift... the guy is a pro bike racer and was descending down a very steep hill at Devils Den State Park outside Fayetteville, Arkansas. The graph show hours, not minutes. His front tire went soft... he said it was at about 10psi when he found his bike, normal is about 90 - 105 psi
Here's his account of the wreck:
I just kept going downhill. It is pretty fast, somewhere in the upper 40′s without totally railing the descent. About 2/3 the way down, I was tucked, with my hands by the stem and I started into a left hand corner. I was going pretty fast.
I knew something wasn’t right immediately. My mind registered that I was at the wrong angle. I realized I was falling, but didn’t have a clue why. Somehow, I got my left foot out of the pedal and was tripoding for a bit. I was pretty proud of myself for what seemed like a few seconds, but probably was more like a fraction of a second. Then, I was tumbling down the road and ended up in the outside ditch.
I had just passed a woman that had finished the Time Trial and she stopped and asked me if I was okay. I was pretty dazed. I told her I was fine, but didn’t really know. I’d hit my head pretty good, but remember about everything. Soon, a truck comes down the road and some guy gets out and said he was up around the corner and heard the crash. I think he was wearing an uniform, but I’m not sure about that. He asked me what happened and I reply that a squirrel ran out in front of me and I swerved and fell. I have no idea where that came from.

They have a lot of gall for pulling over Mr. Brainiac for doing just 4 mph faster.
