Chief, glad to hear the guy is going away for a long time and hopefully you can finally put this all behind you!
On a seperate note, when Battleship comes out on video (if it's not yet - you know those of us on ship life are out of touch), I think you and the rest of our shipmates will enjoy watching it. There are a few things that are a bit off kilter but doggone, it's got some cool naval engagements (I'll give you a hint, the Missouri comes out of retirement, maybe with it's original crew). Take care brother!

Thanks TH. I'll have to see if we have that movie in our collection on board. If not, I'm sure it will show up.
Got a sailor that works with/for me who saw the trailer when he was at the movies. Said it was a standing ovation, which was really strange he said for a trailer. One of the guys I work with, a retired Senior Chief Gunnersmate served on the Mighty Mo after her first retirment. I'll make sure he sits with me when we show it.
Take car yourself Brother. Are you still out in the Sand Box?
Edit: Just talked to the SC, said he saw the movie and got a laugh out of it.

Still out in 5th Fleet with an ARG, and happy to finally be able to talk after this past month! I'll post pics when it's all said and done, this has been a heck of a tour. You mention your collection onboard, for some reason I was thinking you were retired? I've gotta run for SP duty but drop me a line if you are out this way? We've probably crossed paths at some point in time.

We got hooked up with the NMPS movie system and as such, we get all the movies that regular Navy ships get. Still got site TV going throughout the ship.
I don't go to the Sand Box any more. We just test the systems here so you guys get something that works incase you need to use it. CIWS, RAM, ESSM, SSDS. I get to play with them before the fleet get's them. And as you see in the video, we get to play with some other cool things as well.

Oh man, I wish we could watch YouTube! I'll try to jump on when my feet are dry again...but man, if it's anything like what I'm thinking it is...that's too cool! Explains the ease in slaying burglars as well.

The video dosen't show a whole lot, just the end results. There was a press release on it somewhere. Just think Starwars/Startrek weapons coming to real life.
