I used the u-haul trailer to tow my completed to car to its maiden car show at Knott's in 2006. Worked out well. It should already come with tie downs. Nothing special required.
I heard about bottoming-out issues with the steep ramps and our low cars, so I built these
ramps to put under the ramps of the trailer to lessen the steepness. My car did not bottom out and my ride height is 4".

Do not tell U-Haul that you are hauling a Cobra. Their database does not know what that is, and so many of their places won't rent you the trailer. Tell them you are hauling a 1990 mustang.
That's strange, this past Saturday I rented a trailer and told them I was towing a 1965 Cobra and it was in there data base. I actually had seen it on there computer screen. Weird!
I wonder that maybe mine was loaded into the database because there are a bunch of Cobras in my area. Give it try, you'll never know unless you do, then if they don't, take Bill's advise.

I used one when towing to the MVA for inspection. Told them it would be a Mustang.
You may have a problem if wanting to tow with certain SUV's.
My ride ht was set at 4 3/4" and loaded with out any problems.
These trailers are size about perfect for these cars

It's a good ide to put blocks of wood under the trailer tail while loading so it doesn't put a lot of stress on the ball/hitch connection. In my case, U-Haul didn't secure the hitch well to the ball so the weight of the car on the ramps made the hitch jump off the ball and the nose of the trailer shot straight up. No damage but a few tense moments.
