Hi All,

We are about 1 month away from officially announcing our new RF FAMILY of products. All the engineering is done and we are running production prototypes in the lab at this very moment…! Here is a little preview of what will be available.

The new RF Family of products is 100% compatible with the original 1+1 and the new 1+1 “Million” systems. Any input to any 1+1 System can be driven directly from the output of any of our new RF programmable systems.

Not using a 1+1 System…? No problem, our new RF system can interface to any car using relays to power the loads. All of our outputs are 100% compatible with 12 VDC relays..!

The TARGET retail price for ALL of our new RF systems is BELOW $100.00..!

The RF Family (not named yet), will have models that feature the following capabilities and features:

USER programmable using Microsoft Windows™ interface…

This feature allows the user to program many of the functions of the RF interface from a laptop or any other type of PC. For example an output can be set to be Pulse output (momentary), Toggle (push-on/push-off) or Timed (you can set the duration of the timeout). The graphical visual interface is through Microsoft Windows™ and allows the user to exercise the system in real time and watch the results of any function on-screen. If you don’t like your choices they can be changed in an instant.

The programming cable interface and software will be an accessory available for separate purchase. I Squared will also offer FREE custom programming of any of our RF systems if you do not wish to do your own.

Expansion Modules that attach to the RF Mother Module…

If you need lots of outputs we have an Expansion Module that plugs directly into the Mother Module. All of the outputs (7) of the Expansion Module are 100% programmable using the Windows™ interface. Each output can be, as listed above; Toggle, Pulse or Time.

Automatic Owner Identification…

One of our new systems will recognize the owner by the key-fob that they carry. This is not RFID, but an intelligent exchange between the Fob and the system in the car. Turn your car off and walk away; the system knows you are gone. Walk back to the car and the system knows you are there. The RF system can be used to disable your fuel, spark or starting systems, your choice.

Remote Start…

Several of our new RF Family will have the ability to perform remote start on any EFI based car with an Automatic or Manual transmission. The starting sequence is intelligent in that it monitors the engine to be sure that everything is as it should be.

Engine-Turbo Cool-Down Mode…

One of our new systems has the ability to allow the driver to walk away from the car and have the car automatically turn-off when the turbochargers have cooled down to a safe temperature.

Mechanical Interfaces…

For cars with full doors, roll-up windows, a trunk or hood that needs to be remotely controlled we will offer mechanical actuators to serve that purpose. We will also offer controllers to manage electric windows and solenoids to actuate door openers “poppers”.

So what can you use one of our new RF systems for…?

· Security
· Starter Lockout
· Fuel System Lockout
· Ignition Lockout
· “Keyless” Ignition
· Delayed Headlight Turn-off
· Dark Parking Lot Headlight turn ON
· Dark Parking Lot Interior Light turn ON
· Delayed Engine Fan Turn-off
· Automatic Engine Fan Cool-Off period
· Trunk Release
· Remote Start
· ETC…

Thanks everyone, we will keep you updated…

Chris--You are getting better and describing things in term that those of us who are electrically challenged understand--sounds great.

If we fitted the top of the window opening with a captive U channel to get a better seal on the glass, can your system automatically run the window down and inch or two before the door actuator opens and then back up? The fitting of the top of the glass has been an items I have been concerned is not going to have a good solution from either an appearance or sealing standpoint.

BobTheBuilder,

Our window module is fully programmable. Let me check with our programmer to see if that is possible..! Will let you know.

Thanks,

That sounds like a great new line up. I will be looking forward to the release of these. For those of us that are security minded will the RF presence feature have some kind of theft protection so someone can't just grab the RF and use it to steel the car.

TK1,

The remote, depending on YOUR programming choices will, place the security at the end of a special sequence of keys. The depth of that sequence is up to you. You will be able to select a "page" of key sequences either 1,2 or 3 levels deep. The odds of anyone knowing what you choose is just about 0... That is for a standard remote.

With the Automatic Owner Identification Fob… if you own it, you own it...!

We are working on a credit card to put in your wallet much like Mercedes uses. That is not ready yet.

Thanks,

ratnow,

From day-1 there has been a plan in place for the evolution of the 1+1 …platform…. It never was a “harness”, but the foundation of a powerful network of features that could be added to your car in a structured approach, cost effectively. We did not want to tell the whole story in the beginning; it would have sounded like a bunch of BS. In a few months the full power of the 1+1 System will become clear. The system will enable a builder to realize any potential imaginable for their electrical system. We don’t believe that any solution exists that can deliver on such a promise…

Thanks for the kind words..

"The system will enable a builder to realize any potential imaginable for their electrical system."

Thems fighting words.

Can it roll down the window a few inches, pop open the door slightly, roll the window back up, check to see if it is in gear, if not, start the engine, flash the front and rear lights, start the CD player and load track one, "Road Runner The Coyotes After You" theme tune?

If not, when do you plan on adding this feature?

I am sure you could sell at least one of them in about 2 - 3 years time.

PhilJohn,

Yes, but only if the “Eagles” are on the CD player and the song is "Desperado"... We are planning on that model for the next big Millennium celebration...

Chris,

This is becoming even a more perfect system for the GTM. Man, this is very cool stuff!

Please put me on the list to buy one. I'll take it as soon as its available.

Hi Chris

Not sure if I can wait 94 years...

How about if I drop the requirement for it to start the CD player and play the Road Runner theme tune (though I think this is the largest part of its appeal), and allow it to start the engine (I will make sure I leave it out of gear).

Can it do the window down / door open / window up / flash lights / start engine routine?

I would be willing to make the effort to press more than 1 button.

Chris,

What is going to be the range on the Automatic Owner Identification key fob. I hope it is very short, say 5-10ft.
