While I'm trying to finish this body up I'm still wishing I had some preformed canards to attach to the front. Has anybody seen anything out there for sale?
I made my own fairly easily. Sanded down the flat upper surface on the hood's canard lip then taped a cardboard template I made to the outer edge. Held that perpendicular with three strands of masking tape then laid fiberglass cloth over the template and the lip. You can put a layer of vaseline on the template to make it separate more easily when done. I positioned the hood so that the glass was level then added resin. Two layers was all it took. I used a generous amount of resin and more masking tape to make a wall around the edge to hold the resin in place while drying.
Quack. Those duck feet looking air scoopers on the front corners.
