Messed up my passenger side fuel pump... anyone have one FS?

O well, I posted previously to solder a wire. Well murphy's law kicked in and it got ruined.

Anyone have a pump for sale?

With the crossover mod, is that pump really necessary?

Aside from a bit of residual fuel that will cycle/mix constantly, the crossover at the bottom willequalize the level in both tanks.r No?

Post a picture of your pump, we might be able to save it.

Sorry about all of the posts, but I just realized that y you were trying to fix the level sender, correct?

The other tank has a level sending unit as well I believe...

No need to panic if that's the case, you can get away with just one side,
Even if you need to recalibrate you fuel gauge with a resistor.

I am the 2nd owner and the wiring for the fuel was already done. It looks to me that he eliminated the wiring to the drivers side tank and capped off the fuel connections. The only tie between the two tanks is the crossover tube.

You have a second chance at making it work. There's another pad just
above the original pad. Look at the photo again.

If that's not damaged, you will be able to solder to the alternate location.

Just be sure to use a smaller tip than you tried last time. It's also easier
if you have an adjustable soldering iron; not much heat will be required
for this connection

Where you have the blue wire is blank on mine I was actually using the pad above where the blue wire is to make the connection.

Are you able to solder in a place along that strip, or did the whole trace lift off?

I didn't try to solder it myself. A neighbor of mine said he knew how to solder so I let him try. Wish I had brought it to some TV or appliance repair place and have them do it. Too late now. So the pump I got off ebay should be here in a week and I'll use that one instead.
