Brian,
I thought you had the ISIS with the inVIROMENT addition in your car. But in the overhang console I see the FFR vintage A/C switches?
But then again I thought your car was finished! Cant wait to see everything teaser

No inVironment! I was too far along to add that component when it came out!
I thought it was finished too!! hahaha
Those a/c switches are now the only thing I really don't like....maybe I'll have to make them black one day.
VD2021, Yes the remote head unit control is in front of the a/c switches.
Interior will be done next week, then I need to install the belly panels and tweak a few things....

I'd love to build one of these cars. And at $40K it seemed possible. But after seeing all of the "upgrades" that people have done to make these truly great cars, it seems like $80K is a more reasonable figure to really complete one properly.
70 gsconvt - Yes, the interior was a few pennies, but was it worth it? Absolutely! The interior on a kit car is a tough one, because by the time you get to it you are already over budget. So most builders just throw in what came with the kit.....not that there is anything wrong with that It really comes down to what makes you happy and fulfilling the vision of the car you are building.
For me, I wanted to build the GTM and have people look at it and have no idea what it was, BUT.....think OEM!
It was funny when we were almost finished the interior, Rick's customers would come to his shop, look inside the GTM and ask "what are you going to do to this car? Put in a new stereo or something?" They had no idea that Rick just built the whole interior from scratch! This was the reaction I was looking for! Perfect! My vision has been made into reality.
Rad69vette - To be honest, Rick at Creative Audio Werks was the brainchild behind this design. We had our first meeting to discuss my expectations and he basically took it from there. The discussion was exotic OEM. We were in contact almost on a daily basis, and every single idea he presented was perfect. I am a very detailed individual, but Rick was in a whole different level! After a few weeks of thinking what we should do next, I just gave up and let Rick do his thing. He was always one step ahead and this is a man who doesn't settle for anything less than perfect as you can see from his work. Honestly, you would think that the GTM was Rick's the way he cared for it. Don't find guys like this too often....can't thank him enough!
How crazy is it that we put so much effort into our cars so they look like what they do at the factories? Crazy as it sounds, I know exactly why. Awesome car!
Brian I have to say I got a kick out of the vision you had for the interior and you wanted to make it look like it came out of a factory. I can remember the day when all we wanted to do is customize cars to be as far from factory as possible. I believe the factory look finish adds so much more value to the car and still can be customized to fit the individual tastes.
Thanks to all of the artisans that are doing audio systems and the workmanship they are capable of while cutomizing interiors. It just shows that there are talented people in all forms and types of car customizing (lowriders, hot rods, kit cars, etc) that you can use to bring your vision to reality. This is why I never limit myself to learning from one group of car lovers.
