RaceLogic Traction Control Installed!

Ok, so I finished installing it last month, but I have been procrastinating on updating my build log (in my sig) with the details, along with the finished wiring schematic I drew up and followed.

The system works amazing - a truly nice feature to have, and it works incredibly well. In wet mode (0% slip while turning) it will allow up to 5% slip in a straight line, and when I drop the hammer in first I really can't tell that the RL system is misfiring the engine at all - the car just grabs and goes. Looking at the cut graph on the digital controller, however, shows, the RL system was doing a lot of work.

Any questions, let me know.

Sweeeet! Do you have the Race Logic TC with the optional launch control? If so, have you tried that out?

Yeah I have the version with the launch control, though I haven't played with it yet. Next time I have the car out I think I'll mess with it a little bit.

Played with the launch control the last time I had the GTM out. Real nice feature and super easy to enable (just hold the controller knob in for 2 seconds). I have to say the performance of this system is incredible.

I can see why koenigsegg and gumpert use it.

Glad Your Back

Hi Spy glad your back and thanks for the great update, thought you forgot all about us there for a while.

Is there any chance of seeing some video of the traction controller in action

Do you enjoy 3 second videos? Because after that, he's probably going to be going over the speed limit of any public road!

I'm in. I have the same system, glad to hear you love it.

Question to you, did you use the factory (built in hub) speed sensors, or the sensors that come with the RL?

Gene

haha, crash is right. What might be cool is to do some vids of the car passing the camera from a slow roll and dropping the hammer, or doing some launches so you can see how night and day the car is with the RL system on/off. Inside the car, it just feels like it hooks and goes. The car is loud as hell and you can't really hear the misfires.

I didn't purchase sensors from RL since I used the built-in hub sensors. No problems with them.
