This actually started off as a gtm project idea...
...but developed into something much different. Still uses the mid-engine layout, but has these unique features:
All panels lightweight resin infused Carbon Fiber
500 hp ls3 standard
g97 standard
Lightweight/strong hydroformed steel frame
Gigantic Stop Tech Brakes
adjustable KW suspension
Exotic Venzano Interior
Targa roof panel
20" Forgeline wheels
This car will be shown at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this January. There's very few images out there right now and this is one of it's first internet showings. I wanted to run it by some real car guys to get basic input of how they feel based on this inital limited knowledge. What do you think?
I think it looks REALLY mean and I can't wait to see more!
On another note, beware the vendor police. I have been told I can't even guage interest in any POSSIBLE products on this site without becoming a vendor, much less show pictures, where to buy, and how much the product is, or even MAY be.
Good luck with that car. I really would like to see more pics of it. Is this built from a GTM kit or did someone do the whole thing from the ground up?

Good point. I'm not trying to sell anything here, just looking for true car guy reaction from those who love supercars.
I agree with the rest.....what I see so far looks amazing. Front end looks very K-1 Attack-like, which is a good thing. So what's your involvement? Is it going to be sold in kit form? Turn-key form? Available in January.....or many years from now?

Turnkey January. It is not a kit and does not compete with ffr.
I also like the looks, but wonder how much would carry over to the real product (looking at the headlights). If this is $70-$80k for a turnkey component car, then it DOES hit in the GTM market and I think its VERY interesting. Or is this $120k+? I'm guessing even higher if its all carbon.
I don't know transmissions very well. Is the g97 a current model?
I have seen other cars like this the dagger gt that is comming out but it is 450k. also it is 2000HP and does 300mph if you search on google it is all over but I do not know if it will ever happen. it is a mean machine.

Nice. Looks almost identical to the new Lotus Esprit that is due out in 2012.

This is a rendering. The show car is still being finished up for January auto show. The rendering is taken from the digital files that were used to machine the production molds. As with most cars, this car looks much better in person.
Do you have an actual car you can post photos of, or just the computer rendering at the top of the page?
I'd love to see the body from a few different angles, plus the transition from pixels to carbon!
Yes, I have the actual car. The Driveline is complete and all systems are functioning. Some body panels are still fiberglass, while the finished versions are completed carbon. None are mounted at this time.
I don't want to show any more than the teaser view at this time. I'll show more as we get close to the show in January. I will, however, show the foam sculpture before it went to scanning for the digital work. Once in the computer, all the lines were perfected and models were cnc cut for the new molds. The cars lines are within .01 of inch for accuracy. The sanding of the paint can throw the lines off more than how accurate the panels are.
Nice looking car! My only concern from what I am seeing, is that someone sitting in the car wont be able to see the road close to the front of the car. One of the things that Porsche and others have done really well with, is giving the driver a very good perspective of the road. The GTM is somewhat challenged in this area as well, especially with a helmet on since the car has such a low roofline.
Also, not sure what your overhangs are, but be careful of those as well. Long overhangs look cool, but if its easy to take the nose off going into a driveway or gas station, it will limit those who are interested in the car.
You don't? Take a look at this website. It show the cars that are currently being designed for release between now and 2015. There is an article in this month's Road And Track magazine, that tells of the direction that Lotus is planning. The first car that comes up is the Esprit. The Elise is actually extremely close to the design that you're showing here.

That's a shame, because Russ is one the best bike & snowmobile engine guys in the US. His ported heads are on some of the most successful competition rigs out there.
It's an awful amusing case of coincidence...one of his most requested products is for a Falcon Z sled...
If you don't mind answering...by what way did you arrive at design & manufacture of a boutique automobile? It's been oft-said that the quickest way to go broke in business is to start a car-company...
