Just thought I'd add some pics of the NACA duct "wing window" replacement panels, since I don't have a link to those in the first post:

The engine cover.......I've already made the mold and pulled a part from it. I still need to figure out how to mount this thing to the engine. Normally, I planned on having it fit and "clip" onto the fuel rail, the way the factory coil covers do. Main problem with that plan is that the engine I've got in the shop right now has some aftermarket billet fuel rails on it, so I can't really use that engine as a pattern for where to place the clips. I'll get back on it as soon as I can.

Hi Shane,

An inquiring customer would like to know. . . what's the lead time on a Kooks exhaust system. From what I recall, you batch the orders for these together before Kooks mfgs them.

Cheers,

Ruth

That's a great question, Ruth! I have the Kooks systems made in batches of 10....so I need 10 orders before I can turn in my batch order to Kooks. If you've seen the latest Kooks order thread:

Kooks Custom GTM Exhaust System -- Ready to Take Orders for the Next Run!

you'll see that I started that thread in January, and I'm still sitting at 5 confirmed orders.....so I still need 5 more to proceed. I do not collect $$$ until I'm ready to turn the order in to Kooks, so if you're wanting to get on that list, I just need for you to follow the instrucions in post #1 of that thread and shoot me a PM with that info. Once I have 10 confirmed orders, I will contact you to collect payment so I can turn in the order to Kooks. Once orders are turned it, it seems to be about 6 weeks until Kooks ships the completed systems.

There doesn't seem to be much of a pattern to how long it takes to fill these 10 slots. Some runs have taken over 6 months (like this one), some have taken just 2 or 3 months to get 10 orders. As others besides me have said, it is seriously probably the best "bang for the buck" you'll spend on your GTM. A full, complete ALL STAINLESS, long-tube header/X-pipe system.... for the $$$$.....you just can't hardly beat it! Thanks for the inquiry, and please let me know if you have any other questions.

I would like to see a pic of the AC relocate on a finished car. It looks to me that the blower is in the pass side footbox. If so I would like to see it mounted before I decide to spend the money. I like the idea of drawing in air from the cabin instead of outside but I don't want to look at the blower motor either. I could be way off here. Thanks Kris

This thread shows the motor mounted in the footbox.

AC Plenum Parts Are In! Order Info Here!

I'd have to dig around to see if I have a photo of it installed in a finished car. I wrapped the outside radius of the motor in the same carpet as the rest of the floor, so it doesn't really stick out visually. Once you get your dash in place you can see that where it's mounted isn't all that visible.

Thats the pic that I saw that made me wondor. If you do get a chance in the next few days would you mind posting a pic on it on a finished car. I'll dig around and see if I can find anything also. To those that have done this mod does it save you alot of time also? I've read about the dreaded plastic piece over the AC unit.
Thanks alot, Kris

Yes, these are the current prices. I've been a bit busy lately with trying to work on 2 GTM's and build an addition onto my shop by myself (in all of my spare time), so I have not taken the time to update my website. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Shane,

Would you happen to know how many of the components will be compatible with the Gen. 2 GTM?

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes....between the cars and the addition, spare time is not something I really have right now.

Anyway, as far as Gen II compatiblility goes, I'd say everything listed should be good for both Gen I and Gen II with the exception of:

Hood Louvers
Rear Hatch Louvers
Front Grille

I'm thinking that both models of the Diffuser Louvers will probably still fit, but not sure if there will be as great of a need for them if you leave the diffuser dropped down like FFR has it on the Gen II. Personally, if I built a GTM for myself, and the "new" diffuser will fit the body like the Gen I, I would probably install it the same as the Gen I (bolted or riveted directly to the body) and install the diffuser louvers vs. leaving it haning down like FFR has it on the Gen II.

I just don't like the look of it hanging down like that, and as much as it stiffens the mounting of the whole rear of the body, I can't imagine it offers the same strengthening/support with it spaced down like that.

The bad news is that, NO, I do not have any Gen I grilles left. The good news is that I'm out here in the shop on my Saturday working on my cnc plasma table......

If this thing works as well as I think, I will no longer ever be out of stock on anything unless I run out of sheets of material. I will be able to cut everything as needed, as well as come up with a lot of stuff I would've liked to before.....but didn't because of "the process", where I'd have to figure out the design, draw up the part, send out the drawing to my cutters for a quote, decide if it is worth the cost to have one or 2 parts cut, tell them I want them cut, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, get the parts and hope to God that they fit right and I didn't screw up the drawing.

This new table should allow me to always have all of my current and past (Gen I parts) always available as I will not have to actually keep them in stock on the shelf.......just as long as I've got sheets of alum in stock, I'll be able to cut the parts on demand.

I've got some good ideas for the Gen II front grille also.
