How much leg room in a Spyder

I am 6'3 would I fit in a spyder? They look a bit small.

Aer you looking to buy a used one? FFR doesn't make the kit anymore.

Test fit first before buying...

If you are looking to buy a used kit/completed Spyder, my recommendation is to actually sit in one first. I'm 6'2" and leg room on the driver side is very good once I cut over to automatic which eliminated the clutch pedal. With my seats, I'm looking out halfway between the top of the steering wheel and the top of the windshield. Chest-to-steering wheel clearance is adequate for me and I could stand to loose an inch around the waist- OK maybe two inches.

I did the test fit back at Moochfest in 2005 before buying the kit. Another guy looking at the show room Spyder was 6"2-6'4" and could not fit. His waist-to-foot length was longer than mine for sure and he had very little room.

Footroom

I am 6'1" and a bit larger than I need to be. There is more foot room in the Spyder than in the roadster I sat in, but not much of a place to rest the clutch foot when off the pedal. I am planning an angle brace riveted to the wall that will take care of that. The real problem is how high the seat is mounted so that your eyes are below the frame of the windshield. BTW the Spyder has less wind buffeting than the roadster in my experience.

I live in Vacaville, CA and Spyder 32 is up for sale. If you are close enough, you can try it on for size!

Chassis 022

I am 6'1" and custom placed my driver seat. I placed the bolts in the seat and then custom drilled the four holes in the floor of the cockpit to my fit. My sest is not adjustable. Any adjustment hardware will make the seat to high for the windshield. You need to place the driver seat as low as possible to be able to be out of the windflow.

I'm 6 3 but haven't spent a lot of time driving yet.
Foot room with pedals is tight but lightweight shoes(like racers) would help
My inseam is 35" so I have long legs.

It's about maxed out but passable.

I have extended footboxes in mine, makes a big difference. 6'0" and have plenty of room.
