Icon15 Spyder gt #18 for sale

Okay, it's official. #18 is for sale - beautifully fininshed (but still can be personalized) Spyder GT - 350W, Tremic 5 speed, 8.8 posi, IRS, Rio Yellow Pearl. bump steer kit ordered and will be installed prior to sale. check out numerous photos on this forum and even on international art site (just enter Cobra Daytona Spyder and it will come up under redbubble.com). Car was offical pace car for the 2008 Cobra bash (womens group) race, Fernley raceway in Reno. It is a VERY NICE representation of this rare kit. With the loss of our daughter; medical and funeral expenses, a condo that we will have to sell at a loss, it just isn't possible to keep it. Just turned 3,000 miles and I would drive it anywhere, no issues. Rock bottom pice is $35K. I will post on FFR's for sale board and will list on Ebay in a few weeks if no interest here.

Thank you to all of you, who have been so supportive of all we've had to deal with. We love you guys!

Corrections

Okay - I had a blond moment....It is of course a 351W (ford) not a 350 (chev) engine. and the tranny is a Tremec 5 speed. It has wheels and tires and a steering wheel, 3 pedals and goes like stink. Let me know if you have any questions - I'll have Mr Cobra (husband) answer. LOL - KAT

Kat......While I can't speak for everyone, I know there are countless folks out here (me included) that were hoping we would never see this day. You have made the difficult decision to though, and I wish you all the best with the sale. Please know you will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

Anyone even remotely looking for a Spyder should take a closer look at this one! This awesome lady and her beautiful Spyder did the honors of serving as Pace Car at the 2008 Western States Cobra Bash Track Day held at Reno-Fernley Raceway. I've been on track with this car, and it is indeed a head-turner in every regard!!! A steal at this price!!!

Dr. Karen Salvaggio
2009 Cobra Roundup &
2008 WSCB Track Day Instructor Driver

PS....Regardless of what happens with the car, you have a open invitation to Cobra Roundup.....My car is yours, and I fully expect you to do the pace car honors...Please give my best to "Mr. Cobra"......An oh ya, you can bring him along too. ">)

I have been quite on this one but I can't anymore. All I have been hearing on this forum is people whining that the spyder has been discontinued and they can't get one and when will they bring it back. Guess what they are not going to bring it back and you will not get to build your own so suck it up and and buy this one. Take the damn thing apart and put it back together. Repaint it change the tail lights put a different scope on the front I don't care and I doubt Kat does either as long as you do a good job.

So stop whining about them not being made and just buy this one.

Since I started the recent thread about bringing them back the Spyder, I'm a bit offeneded by your posting. If I wasn't in the middle of my Hot Rod build, I may have considered buying a complete car, but honestly at this point probably would not have. With my limited experience for me buying a new kit was the best option than buying someone elses partially built or a Kat's car and then tearing it apart and rebuilding it (as you suggested). Once I have my the Hot Rod completed, if the situation were to arise again, I would consider it.

I know the likely hood that the Spyder coming back is very unlikely, but it will never happen if no one speaks up. In one of Dave's messages quite a while back did say that he would to see the Spyder again (I think it was in 2007). Since F5 does have the tooling already, and how they changed their business model with the Coupe (doing a limited production run), why can't they do it with the Spyder. I was just throwing it out there for food for thought. So if what I did is whining, so be it (WAAAHH!)

I truly hope Kat is able to sell her car soon and gets what she is asking for it. From what I have seen of it it and what other members have said about it, I am sure that it is a quality build.

I don't want this to get off topic. Paul this really was not a dig at you seeing you posted your post about a month be for Kat. Your post has just gotten a lot of people saying that wish they could have a spyder.

Well said!

You won't be seeing the Spyder back again. Period. IF you really want one, step up. Otherwise, you really don't want one. Sure, it'd be nice to build it from a crate of parts, but that is not a reality. Get it while it's available...

I'm the perfect example of that one.

When told there won't be any more kits, I bought the first one I had the chance to.

Spyder wannabees - where are you now?

We took her our for about a 100 mile run last week end and had a great time. No problems and still lookin for a new home. I think we are going to take her to the "end of the world" rod run to Long Beach Washington in a couple of weeks, if the Weather holds up....Should be a great time. Keep me in mind if you hear of anyone lookin' for a trun key...

Unless there are two yellow/silver Spyder GTs out there, I saw this one today in Pacifica, CA.

Sure looked good!

Hi guys,

Yes, that was me cruising around in Pacifica! I didn't think there were any Forum members that lived so close to me. I thought VacaBob in Vacaville was the next closest Spyder owner?
