Does anyone know whether the 5.4L engine out of a Navigator will fit into the MK3 or the Coupe? A fuel injected guru that I work with is looking into building a car as soon as I get mine done and is hoping to use this engine.

a DOHC 4.6 needs a shoehorn and a serious load of KY to get it in there. I would seriously doubt the taller and wider 5.4 would fit.

I just spoke with the tech department at FFR and they sighted the increased deck height of the 5.4L and the decreased hood height of the coupe as the major problems.
I guess it's a no-go for now.
