I bought quad shocks from NAPA. They are called "SENSA-TRAC." I have to compress them all the down to make them fit. Is this the way they go? Could someone post pictures of what they look like?

BTW, I do not have a donor. Where do you get the aft bracket for the quad shocks?

As always, thanks in advance.

We are going to run our IRS car without quad shocks because we can't think of a good practical use for them on an IRS car. If there is a problem, we will add them.

It was, however, my understanding that the donor shocks are the quad shocks, or the donor has quad shocks. So I think some mustang replacement shock should be the right one.

And I assume that you have checked the manual and they dont give a hint.

PS. Would someone who knows what they are talking about please help Mr. Turton?

Most look something like this,"BUT" have have an eyelet on the rod for mounting. I went with Monroe's for now to save a few bucks. These run about $200.00 a pair.

You should not have to compress the quad shock much to make it fit. They are sometimes called "axle dampeners". You do not use the donor bracket to mount the quad shock on the IRS setup.

With that being said, Quad shocks are not neccessary if your bushings are in good condition or polyurthane. I have been drag racing my car with no quad shocks, polyurethane bushings, Nitto drag radials, Line Loc, and no problems.

Others have disagreed on this topic though.
