Thanks. The tires are unbelievable! I have never heard my engine bog before but it sure did with these when I tried to launch at 1,000 rpm. I am still tryin to figure out the best pressure and launch rpm but these things make a night an day difference over the Summi's. The worst launch I had was when the guy ahead of me rolled through the water all the way to the line without a burnout and they still found traction.
On the RT- rookie luck I guess. The .067 was the slow one of the day. The others were .036 and .022.

It was 95 degrees. I did not hook up on the line. I hit the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd gear. But, I still managed a 12.56. Can't wait to see what it does with the Whipple!
Well, the car was only tech'd to 11.5, so I was trying to soft launch and still ended up in the 11.3s with a 1.8 60ft! After I fix the clutch that I toasted and some other minor adjustments, we should easily be in the high 10s next year.
SWEET, somebody is racing this season!!! Nice times Joe. I hope to better my old times down in Medford next month. Anyone else make it to the drag strip this season?

Went to Mason-Dixon yesterday with some buds who work for Volvo and Manitowoc (they rented the track!). This is only the 2nd time I've been to a 1/4 mile track as I'm more into the autocross thing. Even set up for autocross (3.31 rear, stiff springs, heim-jointed suspension, etc), the ol' girl did pretty well! It was also the first time I've been to the track since I replaced the supercharged 306 with a N/A 347, so I was curious to see how it would run.
The car....
FFR2229K Mk1, Dart 10.5:1 347 w/ untouched (other than springs) TFS 170 heads, custom cam, Edelbrock RPM airgap, Holley 650, tremec 3550, 3-link, DA Koni's, 3.31 rear....and 4-year old Kumho XS street tires.
11.7 @121 was my previous best w/ the supercharged setup, but that was a different track and the traction sucked. The grid guy did peak in to make sure I had arm restraints on, but no other concerns from the track. Another FFR guy went 11.3. It might have been more relaxed than normal because it was a private event?
Nice pass Wade, looks like you were shifting at 65-6700 rpm first 2 shifts. Are you running hyd or solid roller cam? Glad to see someone is out there making some passes. Cheers.
Thomas
My best 1/4 pass 1.458 60ft 4.304 330ft 6.785 1/8 mile 8.967 1000 ft 10.835 1/4 mile 120.44 mph. Car is 2001 Factory five, 363 ci,c4 trans, 3.55 gears with 26X10 MT drag slicks. Car is EFI injected running on pump gas.
