Dual master / balance bar system suggestions?

My winter project is to replace my Fox power brake booster + Fox inline master with a dual master / balance bar system so I can finally optimize my brake bias for Autox and track days. I use street pads in the front for Autox with Porterfield R4S in the back. For track days I use HP+ pads in the front with the same R4S.

I have SN95 fronts with dual piston Aluminum, PBR calipers and I have an IRS with the Tbird / Mk 8 single piston rear calipers (Yes - One set of each TBird and Mk8)

What are my options for a dual master balance bar system? I seem to remember Mike Forte and Richard Oben selling master setups? Has anyone used these for AutoX?

I would like a system that is easy to adjust under the hood or from the cockpit. It would-be nice to keep the power booster but I will give it up for the adjustability of a balance bar. (I do have a willwood / Summit adjuster in the rear line but it is always wide open even with the more aggressive R4S pads) I plan to replace my 9 year old hardlines to eliminate the gutted Ford distribution block.

I welcome any comments or suggestions.

Mike Forte has a pretty good set up - essentially the same thing I'm using with good success. If you're not going to upgrade to Willwood brakes all around, he can even set you up with a power booster. But, I have been told by a well respected expert that big Willwood brakes and a power booster is a bad combo.

The proporioning valve you have installed isn't really a proportioning valve - it doesn't proportion anything. It's a pressure reduction valve. Even when fully open, it reduces pressure by about 10%. It's gotta go.

I have Fortes wilwood pedal box/balance bar setup with wilwood master cyl and remote res. Its a great system. You can by a remote cable style balance knob to ease adjustment. I can adjust bias under my dash. I dont have to mess with it often after initially dialing it in, so its not a big deal to crawl under there.
Also, I have Levy's big brake wilwood package that is a good compliment to the pedal setup. I sure it would work great with your Mustang brakes. As Bob said, the wilwoods do not need a power booster

The CNC dual master cylinder setup works well for me and autocrossing.

Jeff,

Do you have a larger picture of your car. What wheels are those?

I have the CNC unit from forte's when I was running a similar brake set us as yours I had a 3/4" front and 5/8"rear MC I really found having the remote balance adjuster a big plus with dialing in the brakes especially after pad changes.I was running HPS in front and R4I's in the rear to get more rear bite. Now I have Gordon's big willwoods and am running a 3/4" front and rear seems perfect and by no means is power assist at all needed.

Thanks everyone-- It looks like I will go with the CNC setup with a remote adjuster!

I also have Mike's CNC dual MC and am very happy w/ it. I have a 5/8 rear MC and 3/4 front MC. This helped a lot but since my brakes are near stock Mustang (GT fronts and Cobra rears) I still needed to stagger pad compounds. I run Hawk HPS in front and HP+ in the rear. Very good brakes, perfectly balanced, and just a little more effort than a daily driver.
