John Mciver, MMarshall and I met up at the final SCCA TireRack tour stop in Nashville this past weekend. We had an awesome time, and talked a little about what we could do to get more people to an event for some racing and socializing.
One thought that came to mind was attending the Blytheville, AR tour stop. This event is generally in early June, so not too hot.
Blytheville, AR is due north of Memphis, off I-55, and near the Arkansas/Missouri border. I have attached a copy of the course at the last event, and this is a flat concrete surface, so lots of grip. this is a pretty central location from anywhere in the east or Midwest.
One idea would be to give trophies just for FFR cars running in XP, and we would hand them out based on our times alone. I might try to get Dave to help out with trophies.
I can imagine 10-15 FFR cars at this event based on the folks that post here.
I know it is a way off, but let me know your thoughts and if you would be interested in something like this.
Hi Bob
this sounds like it would be fun.
As long as it does not conflict with the London cobra show. ( which they have a nice auto x also ) I think I am going to try and gun down Jeff K this year. shhhhh dont tell him.
Later

I think you just did my friend! Are you gonna' run streets or slicks? Thus far I've been able to hold off the guys on slicks and R comps with my street tires... just want to know if I'm showing up with a knife for a gunfight
Bob
the LCS show is not about show cars. it is about any cobra out there. No brand loyalty.
The racier the better.
Jeff
at the LCs I believe it is run what ya brung isnt it. I'm sure not bringing snow tires.
