Ride height

I wonder if a reduced ride height would potentially help autocross numbers. I am presently running 4" front and rear to the bottom of the main tubes. This has become essentially an autocross only car and I don't think any ride height setting would cause tire clearance issues. With that said, why not lower the height? I would think lower CG would only make the car corner better. What do you guys think?

I run 3.5" front and 4.5" rear, measured at the ends of the round tube. Seems to help on the road course.

I still wonder if lower wouldn't be better as long as geometry isn't affected and the suspension does not bottom out. It takes a realignment for me to try, so I am hoping for anecdotal evidence before having to try it.

On my car, lower ride height increases the bump steer beyond the point that I can adjust for. Not without buying new parts, anyway.

Good point about the bump steer. I had not thought about that.
