Found a color but have a question about metallics

Color is 2003-6 BMW Imola Red. It's beautiful but it's not metallic. Our BMW Z3 is (Boston Green Metallic) which is a REALLY fine metallic. (You can't see it unless you're about 6 inches from it.)

If possible, I'd like the Imola Red to be this metallic also.

I guess the question is, can this paint be made into a metallic and still keep the same red?

I would hate for it to get all finished and realize that it was a completely different color.

HOK makes dry metalic that can be added to any paint I believe. 3 different sizes of flakes too.

So, you don't want the metallic to appear unless the viewer is six inches away from your car......Just how close to the sidewalk do you plan to drive? (Dang, I'm sarcastic!) Hi Randy, check out Mitsubishi P06, you might like it. I'll check on the Imola Red Monday to see what's in it.
