Unique Interior

I know this is sacrilege to many die-hard Cobra fans, but I'd love to see some non-standard Cobra interiors.

I like what's shown in this threadCustom Dash Gallery but it's still relatively consistent with the original designs.

I'm thinking something more unique, such as this....

buddy23,

where did you get the pic?? i would like to see more of that

it looks like it may be a gauge pod

it has a very finished look ~ i would like to end up somewhere between this and a piece of sheet metal

thanx

Hi Billy,

The pic is a "modern interior" option supplied by an Australian Cobra kit builder (hence the right-hand drive layout). I have a few other pics, but I'm not here to promote another kit on the FF forum.

I think I know what you mean about "somewhere between this and a piece of sheet metal". I was hoping there might be some unique interiors out there that have a few more curves than the traditional Cobra flat dash panels..... something classic, but not too modern-looking (ie not plastic/vinyl-looking).

I've got something else designed for my Cobra, but don't have the skills to attempt it yet.

Well you asked for it. This is my version of use every donor part you can.

Also did a bunch to the body to give it more of an FIA look and my hairbrain overrider / quickjacks.

Takes a BUNCH of small fab work, but not impossible for the home shop.

I saw your car when you graduated it, but I didn't notice the modified quickjacks. Those are cool !!
Do you have maybe a few closeups of the quickjacks that you could post? I might try fabbing up a set or two..They're very sexy...
Thanks,
-Les

Thumbs up

Dan - Not my style but VERY cool. Did you retain use of the factory cruise control? Talk about an easy driver.

Hi Dan,

Yeah, the guy who built my Cobra used a whole bunch of donor parts (instrument cluster, CD/radio, mode cluster, cruise control, traction control, etc), as you can see in the pic below.

I'm in the process of giving it a complete overhaul, including dash, console, door trims (with push-button actuators rather than the current handles) and a revised pod between the seats. Slowly, slowly.

Cheers
Buddy

This is just the mold plug, have the glass piece but it doesn't look good unfinished;Patrick

Patrick,

I'm really hoping you are a short and smaller guy. After I built my first roadster, I realized that putting in the console was a bad idea as I had absolutely NO legroom. Your console is actually creeping into the drivers area even more than the traditional consoles. I hope you reconsider.

Looks cool, but definately NOT practical. IMHO
