Today I took out my seats, removed my tunnel cover and replaced my stock shifter with a Pro 5.0 shifter.
i expected a some kind of miraculous change in the feel o the shift. Maybe a shorter shift, maybe a more precise shift, I don't know..... something.
I don't feel any difference at all and If I do feel a difference it would be that the shifts feel longer than they were before.
What should I be looking for out of this shifter?
Please tell me why it was worthwhile to change it.

Are you sure you had a stock shifter before? Those two should feel night and day different. Did you adjust the stops on the pro 5.0?

The stock shifter should have rubber bushings between the shifter arm and the shifter shaft (the two bolts)?? This makes the stock shifter feel spongy?
The Pro 5.0 should feel more positive? I've tried a few different Short Throw Shifters (B&M Ripper, Hurst, Pro5.0) and found the Steeda Tri-ax to be my favorite.
Oh well you still got to spend some quality time with your car!!

Mine felt a little more notchy (less springy) feeling. The Pro 5.0 also has stops on it, so I believe you're less likely to damage the tranny when or it you slam it into gear. I guess there's a shorter throw, but if you're using a Cobra style shifter arm I doubt you will notice it much due to the long length of the arm.
I've had several TR3650s and T56s that benefited greatly from the MGW shifter. It's a different world from a stock shifter. I like the Triax too, but love the MGW.
I also bought a Pro 5.0 and am not really satisfied with it. Yes, it does stop the shifter at the stop, but sometimes, it really doesn't want to go into third. The stock shifter never had this problem. I'm going to drop the tranny (again) this winter and replace my fourth gear synchro, so I might just replace the Pro 5.0 also...
