Shelby track day

Anybody up there thinking about doing the NW Shelby Club track day on the 10th of Sept?

Julie had talked about wanting to run. I might also but double teaming the car is tough. We have not signed up yet. I was going to post this same inquiry but you beat me to it. Anybody else signed up? Would be fun to get a group together. I'm sure the SAAC NW guys would like the support also.

I really want to do this but my helmet is a 2005 and my tires are pretty weak, maybe they will let me run in the intermediate class---Don

Excuses, excuses Newman! 2005 helmet is legal. Tires will slow you down, but age does too!

Don, (xsive) aren't you going to run? You don't have any excuses anymore. You've got tires, new brakes, good seats, all the right stuff. Come join the fun.

Looks like the track day is off. They called me last night and said they only had 7 people signed up, so they canceled it. Too bad. I was looking forward to it.

Well that sucks but I certainly understand their position financially. I'm probably one of the people who caused the issue as I had not actually sent in my money yet. Dick are you and your group coming up for the Chump Car deal in October?

Our team from last year included 2 people from Bend, 1 from Colorado, 1 from Roseburg (who brought the car) and myself. That car was totaled so one of the guys from Bend is bringing a car. I hope to be on the driving team again, but as of now I have not been invited. We will see.
