My sister's Lions Club is teaming up with the Cascade Pacific Plymouth Club and hosting their 1st annual carshow. It will be held at the Riverview Park and amphitheater in Independence, OR on the 18th. I told my sister that I would bring our Cobra down and was wondering if anyone would like to join me.
The show starts at 9:00am and my plan is to leave the Baldock Rest Area (southbound) just south of Wilsonville at 7:45am. In order to be able to sleep in as much as possible, I will be taking freeways most of the way, otherwise I would have to leave a lot earlier.
The cost of the show is $20 and includes a pancake breakfast. There are not going to be food vendors there, but my sister assures me that there are places to eat very close to the park.
Eric, unfortunately I plan on racing at PIR that day. It's the Doernbecher Dash race at PIR and probably the last for me this season. Sorry to miss your event.
Steve, Matt, and DonC, I was aware that there were a lot of other things going on at the same time (as always during the summer!) and appreciate the response.
Gary, thanks and I'll see you there.
Mike, hope you can make it. It is about 20-25 minutes (18 miles) from your house to the rest area, and about 55-60 minutes (38 miles) from there to Independence, which is just west of Salem.
Hey Eric & "Sussie" lol
A lot is still up in the air for Mel & me this coming wk. Her bro' goes in for more treatments this wk, ect. We will know more later in the wk?

Hi Eric - I'm in. See you at the rest area at 7:45, or earlier if you would like to meet for breakfast. Dotty can't go. She injured her knee and has to stay off it and keep it iced...Mike

Thanks to... Gary, Lon, Mike, John, Donna, Chris, and Peggy for braving the iffy weather and joining me at my sister's 1st annual carshow. They had 90 cars and after the sprinkles quit and the clouds parted, it was quite warm.
Cascade Cobras had a showing of 5 roadsters and a GTM. Lon came up from down south and pulled in just as Gary, Mike, John, and Peggy and I got to the park and Chris and Donna showed up a few minutes later.
Not often we get 3 Superformances in one group. I think they had a mini owners group meeting, lol.
Congrats to John M. for his "Judges" award, and to Mike H. for his "Best Engine" trophy.
I've placed some pics in my gallery here...and I hope to add more when Donna gets her pictures ready.
