Icon15 Conference race at PIR this weekend.

Tom Ryon and Don Hennig will be running Saturday and I plan to run Sunday. Let's hope for good weather. Come hang out if you don't have anything better to do. We'll be in the Pro pits so you'll have to park outside and walk over the bridge.

Have fun, hope it stays dry, will miss this one, but will be in Spokane on 11th for the tripple header. Then at the Ridge for the SCCA/SOVREN event at the end of the month.

Have fun Tom and remember drive Steve's car like you stole it as he will be working and won't know the difference

I'll be there Sat,in the Volvo, and it looks like rain. Maybe I'll be able to keep up a little better. Hope Steve has rain tires. Oh, I wonder if I have rain tires?

Did you find the cause of the over heating yet?

Tom, I caught a little of the race on PIR Live, looked a little wet today but looks like you handled the conditions just fine, nice going!

Had a great time, and the Volvo even started. A little wet to start, but the race line dried out within 3 or 4 laps. Passed 2 that were out in the grass, and 3 on track. Tons of fun, wish I had the $$$$ to keep it up.

Tony,
Yes we had rains, but didn't really need them after the 3rd or 4th lap. However they were nice to have if you had to go off line.
Issues? A little more straightaway speed would have been nice. Seemed like I was always catching someone in the corners or under braking, but could never get around them. Best lap was 1:43.2.

Had a great day Sunday. Weather cooperated and the track was dry by about 9:00 AM. Qualified 9th in group 4 at 1:31.5. Not great but OK as I had not had any practice on Saturday. Car was loose so I made a few minor changes in hopes of doing better in the race. Still chasing the sub 1:30 number. Race was fun....no issues. Me and an AS Camero had a good race till he had a flat. Lot's of dicing and had the crowd exicited. He passed me by following a "ground pounder" around but I got him back by out braking him in turn 1. Great sport! Finished second in ITE. Best race lap was 1:31.2. Not any faster than last year even with the changes I made???? Car went back on the trailer after a hard weekend same as it came off so that's always a good thing. Looks like Spokane will be next.
As you read above Tom Ryon used the car Saturday to get his "Senior License" renewed. He did well and had no issues after he got used to the car a bit. Turned in a 1:35 something on a damp track....not bad for never having driven the car. I also respect him for taking it easy and bringing the car back in one piece.
Don Hennig also did a great job. That old Volvo (rent-a-racer) appears to handle pretty well...just a bit underpowered. Good job Don. Now we just need to get some Cobras out there and have some fun running against each other now that you've got these race licenses.
